It replaces all the variable speed components that are on the machine. The direct drive will fit without any alterations to the combine. In 4 hours installation time you can have your combine simplified with less maintenance by eliminating the variable speed system.

Change over time from soybeans to corn is also simplified with
no more lock out ring to deal with. The direct drive system also frees up the
hydraulic circuit to run the deck plates on the corn head. The feeder chain
no longer has to be changed to slow speed.
All the direct drive components are heavy duty to take the increased horsepower
requirements of the Geringhoff Corn Head. With the 1”3/4 drive shaft and
the Kevlar belt you will have a more efficient transfer of power from the combine
to the head.
