What the book is about...
Beyond the Ashes is the now-classic account of Reb
Yonassan Gershom's personal encounters with hundreds of people from
all walks of life, who have shared their memories of visions, dreams,
and flashbacks that seem to becoming from another life during the
Nazi Holocaust. In addition to these amazing true stories, Reb
Gershom presents Jewish teachings about karmic cycles, the levels of
the soul, views of the afterlife and reincarnation in Judaism, as
seen in the light of traditional Jewish texts and modern discoveries.
Beyond the Ashes was featured by the Jewish Book Club in
1993 and was favorably reviewed by the Journal of Regression Therapy
in 1995, and by the Association for Past life Therapy and Research
(APRT) in 1996. (These and other reviews can be found on the

His essays on Jewish spirituality have appeared
in numerous periodicals and anthologies. He is also the author of
From Ashes to Healing and Jewish Tales of Reincarnation,
a collection of 70 stories from traditional and modern sources.
Beyond the Ashes... builds bridges among secular, political,
and metaphysical realms. The seemingly effortless way in which
